This version of the song “Mr Bluebird” was recorded on March 13, 2020 at Vinegar Hills Studios in Brooklyn, NY. Covid had just entered the US in force and NYC was a hotspot, though unbeknownst to us at the time. It was surreal and a bit eerie to be locked inside the studio all day not knowing what was happening and then emerging to emptying streets and significant changes at the end of the day.

I didn’t plan on sharing this song with anyone originally because it’s about a part of me that I generally try to keep to myself. However, I’ve decided to share the song because a big part of why I’ve decided to start sharing music is so that I can be more authentically myself, and that includes the parts of me that I usually keep hidden from view.
